Wild.

The hair not the child. Well, the child is pretty wild too but this time I'm talking about those curls. They're the result of some flour hair gel. Who knew it had such good hold?  I don't think I'd recommend letting your big sister dump flour in your hair and then hosing you off  in order to achieve this look. But that's just me.

Daddy's Girl(s)

1. See Daddy

2. Run to Daddy

3. Love on Daddy

They all do this. But Juju still has that no holding back thing going on. Pure joy. I just happened to capture this since I was sitting leaning up against the car after the water park incident. Back at the yellow house we could always hear his truck coming and then we had the street and the long driveway to get ready so I was able to purposely capture it more. It's make me happy to have these even if they're far from what I would have liked.

awww!

Missed this one the first go round, probably because E's face was covered. Sometimes I can be too picky and miss the really good stuff. It's always good to go back through later and double check.

PB&B smoothie style.

I bought a whole bunch of natural peanut butter that is way too runny for sandwiches. And when I say a whole bunch, I mean like a years supply. Luckily it makes excellent cookies. And  yummy smoothies. I suspect it might make tasty milkshakes but I haven't gone there yet. PB milkshakes are my favorite milkshake so I don't need to know I have all that PB sitting under my counter just waiting to be made into a tasty treat.
But back to the smoothies. Just the PB, frozen bananas, some vanilla,  ice cubes and maybe some milk depending on thickness.
Straws optional.

Let me translate.

The water park is to your left. Go there. It is fun!

go der.

So, funny story. They actually built this not for themselves but for people to come. E actually got upset with me when I sprayed her with the hose, she was building the water park not playing. I think the success of their lemonade stand might have gone to their heads. They did have one very happy client though!

Last bit of nonproductiveness.

I can't believe we're about to start school! Goodbye reading during naptime. Goodbye playing on the computer. Goodbye life. Well, that's a bit dramatic. But I will miss the free time summer brings. What does any of that have to do with the cuteness that is juju?  Well, following a link on fb by a friend I found a cool scrapbook site that is definitely my taste. I can't handle all the doodads and "Stuff" - I get bogged down in deciding where to put all of it and end up spending weeks on one page. That doesn't work. It's where I got the stuff up above and totally ripped off the design of the layout while I was at it. I don't know why I don't scrap more(oh yeah, cause I can't ever finish anything because of all those doohickies)? I'd like to say I'm going to start again but I don't know if now is exactly the time. I also made some "art" for above E's bed. I needed something to balance out a window that's above R's. I looked at stuff in stores but most stuff the size I needed was either way too heavy or just way too expensive.
We're in the midst of doing their room - we didn't do much when we moved in. Then we replaced E's full with a twin and it was just a mess of unlovedness in there. They kept asking why Juju's room was pretty and theirs wasn't. So we'll see if we can't fix that.  Because we needed one more project around here!

sum, sum, sum, sum, sum, summer time....

That's what kept going through my head when I saw these. A picnic after our visit to the "water park" the girls built.

Proof. I'm in trouble.

My monkey in action. I don't have any of her trying to turn the stove on because I was of course flinging the camera aside and screeching No, No, NOOOOOO! And you might think the one with her foot up was captured midblink but it's not. That's her "I'm so cute face" as in " I'm doing something I know shouldn't be doing but I'm so cute that I won't get in trouble." And yes, my kitchen was a mess. Because, you know, we actually live here and use it and don't have a maid service or anything. And I'm okay with that.

Just messing around. Who would have thought it?

If I could write a note back to myself 5 years ago (when I first bought studio lights) it might include this: "Don't worry. One day, not only will she stay in one place but she'll like it. A lot. And it won't even involve candy. "

Turns out there is a huge difference between a 2 year and a 7 year old, especially when it involves Mama's make up. Huh!
