Seriously, snow?

In Huntsville? And it's not even really winter. We let Juliana touch it and she cried. Of course I took a picture but I can't decide if it's funny or just mean.
Oh and all my northern family, please stop laughing now. It's white so it counts.

spying

just a peek out at the big girls while the little sister sleeps

Hmm. What could cause such seriousness?
Such determination?
Mmmm. Candy apples from this place. And frozen cider too.
(Seriousness caused by having to *gasp* pause to have a picture taken. Oh the horror!)
Good stuff. And amazing apples too. We made some lovely apple sauce. And by we I mean Mimi.
This one? Not enjoying the experience so much. Couldn't have the apples. Thought the cider was too cold. And she couldn't crawl because the ground was covered in chestnuts. My flip flopped feet didn't enjoy them either.
They're lethal.
But the apples were worth it. It was just a shopping place though, no pick your own or "fun" activities. I would have liked to be able to harvest our own but I didn't miss the cheesy activities that they charge disney prices for!
p.s. don't adjust your monitor. Those are some wonky colors going on. Fun times with photo shop. Maybe not successful times but I'm way too lazy to redo them all.

mone santo picnic

It was a pretty gloomy drizzly day but that just meant we had the trail mostly to ourselves!

It's not yellow. It's not little. And it's most definitely not out in the country.

But it does have lots of space to play and picnic.
Views of our very own creek.
Plenty of room for Juju monsters to attack.
Walls that we can paint. PINKPURPLEandGREEN with DINOSAURSSTARSandTINKERBELL...
An upstairs with room for two big girls to have their very own bedrooms. And bathroom too!
Honestly, after the experience of the past little while. I'd be happy in anything we could call our own. But we think this place is pretty special and we're super excited to move in and make it ours. Nate's already started - he's been hard at work tonight sanding those floors down so they can be a little less orange. :)
I hope so so soooooo much that I'll be able to look down there and see 3 big girls one day. I really, really have no desire to move again. Like never, ever, ever!
Did you think I could do it? A post with out a Juliana picture? Impossible! Although you'd have to have a video to catch how fast that little booger moves across that empty house.

Not the grass!

This was while we were in IL last trip so maybe a month ago? That's when the last posts pictures were from too- I'm a bit behind. For some reason Juliana was just hating the grass in Grandma and Grandpa Z's yard. If you started to lower her down she'd just start screaming. It was pretty funny. Luckily she's over that as trying to eat grass is now one of her favorite pastimes.

friends... just some snapshots

We got the chance to visit some dear friends that live very far away, we've been trying to get the for years now so this was an especially joyful trip. Juliana was learning to sit up so she was hanging out on the picnic table (she's pulling up now!)

These are in a random order - this was our visit to a preserve area.
E hanging out her baby clothes.
More preserve - it was so pretty.
All the big kids trying to stay in the hammock.
Lots of back yard picnics sine the weather was incredible.
She sat still. And looked at the camera! Amazing!
Crickets and princess dresses, that's so Rosie.
The wild horse in her native habitat.
Little boy hands!
And feet too.
Thanks guys!

It's been awhile. Can you handle it?

The cuteness, oh the cuteness! Juliana turned 6 months this week. She's been crawling for a couple of weeks now and is trying to pull up. I keep telling her to stop but it's just not working. She figured out how to sit up, crawl and sit up up from a crawl all within a couple of days - whew. It didn't even really give me any time to get pictures of her sitting up - she can escape now. She's working on getting things with her thumb and finger and really just watching us intently. I wish I could capture the serious focused look she gets when we clap or do something she so obviously wants to do. She's definitely a fun age right now, the girls are loving being able to crawl around and play with her.
p.s. the internet at our temporary place is insufferably slow. Hopefully I can play catch up later because this place is seriously lacking in big girl pictures. I just couldn't let a half birthday go by with out a post
